This tasting has wines for the naughty and wines for the nice, so regardless of the list you are in, I am sure you'll find a bottle that'll make your Christmas really special. Rob J will be on the keyboard filling the house with his holiday tunes.
My first pour is "Raeburn", a California Chardonnay with a creamy texture and toasty vanilla flavors that make it perfect for the holidays. The Raeburn shows hints of Crème Brûlée, notes of pear, flavors of nectarine and an elegant finish. Great with poultry, creamy dishes, seafood, Brie and Cheddar cheeses.
Next is a Maison L'Envoye from France's iconic Beaujolais region (Burgundy). This medium-bodied red shows notes of plum and cherry, refreshing acidity and the smooth, easy-drinking style found in wines made with Gamay, the region's prime varietal.
My third wine is a Viñedo de Los Vientos "Tannat", Uruguay's signature red grape. This red has scents of cocoa beans, blackberry flavors and firm, balanced tannins. Great withroasts, meat empanadas and most robust dishes. Comes in a beautifully wrapped gift bottle presentation!
"True Myth", a Cabernet Sauvignon from California's innovative Paso Robles wine region is my selection to wrap up this great holiday lineup. Rich yet smooth, this red has aromas of blackberry, blueberry, pepper and cassis that come together in an outstanding bottle perfect for all occasions. Awarded 90 points by Wine Enthusiast Magazine.
See you all on Friday!
