Sound and Wine: a Musical Tasting Festival!

This Friday we welcome to our "Sound and Wine" musical tastings festival Van Isaacson, one of the most talented up and coming young violinists in the city. Accompanied by the beautiful sound of Van's violin, our guest wine specialist, Paula Zubrzycki will pour a pre-Valentine's cocktail and three outstanding wines for you to taste.

We'll kick off the tasting with a "Bellini", a cocktail made with peaches and Prosecco sparkling wine, invented in the 1940s at the famous Harry's Bar in Venice, Italy (a favorite haunt of movie stars and the literati back then). Our first wine of the evening will be a 2013 "Trimbach" Pinot Blanc, a French dry white with subtle fruit aromas that's perfect with Sushi, salads, light meals or just on its own. Next Paula will pour a 2010 "Rocco" Pinot Noir from Oregon's famed Willamette Valley. This is a bright and lively, limited production light red that's great with cheese, chicken dishes or just to kick back and relax with friends.
Last but not least is a delicious 2013 "Le Fervent" Rhône Valley Syrah. This staff favorite presents layers of berries, pepper and is a natural with burgers, mediterranean cuisine, pork and roasted vegetables.

We look forward to seeing you on Friday!
