This weekend is all about sunshine and wine and you are invited to kick it off tasting an outstanding selection of reds and whites we have put together for you. The talented Jackson Ray will be in the house providing musical entertainment.
Sarah will start the tasting pouring samples of Villa Griffo, our favorite Prosecco. This dry, crisp Italian sparkling has it all, citrus, fruit, texture and lots of bubbles...a summer perfect, all-around crowd pleaser!
Next, we'll taste one of the finest estate-bottled rieslings in Germany: Ulrich Langguth Kabinet. This off-dry riesling offers notes of kiwi, apple and sweet lime and pairs beautifully with Indian, Thai and Chinese cuisine. Also great on its own or with a cheese and fruit platter out in the patio.
Our first red comes from France's famous Loire Valley (about a 3-hour drive from Paris). The Marie Beauregard Chinon is a wood aged, medium-bodied red with significant fruit, spice, acidity and a smoky finish. Great with chicken, lamb, charcuterie and mediterranean cuisine. Great summer red!
"Manteo" is the fourth wine in this lineup. In this Syrah, Petit Verdot, Cab blend from Sonoma County, California, the winemakers found the perfect harmony among these grapes to produce a memorably delicious, bold, jammy red. Great with beef, roast and just about anything off the grill.
