After a long, cold workweek we all need some "Wine Therapy" and that's exactly what I'll be providing tomorrow! This tasting lineup is nothing short of outstanding and includes three "robust" winter reds and a crisp, dry white. Soundscape pianist Kevin Koprowski will be filling the house with his awesome music.
My first pour is a 2015 Sella & Mosca La Cala Vermentino from the Italian island of Sardinia. Delicious apple and pear flavors, and a crisp, bright finish all define this versatile crowd pleaser. Pairs beautifully with fish, appetizers, seafood pasta and Italian cheeses.
Next is a 2014 Errazuriz “MAX” Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile’s famed Aconcagua region. This red is earthy and dense, with concentrated flavors of red and black fruit and a medium oak finish. Pairs with red meat, roasts, stews and other hearty dishes. Awarded 90 points by Wine & Spirits magazine.
My third wine is a 2014 “Manteo” a blend of Syrah, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc from Sonoma County, California. This delicious wine offers a dryness of red fruit, cedar and tobacco in a solid, full-bodied package. One of my favorite blends in the store – highly recommended!
My last pour is a 2012 “Provenance” Napa Merlot made with grapes from some of the best vineyards in the valley. This fine red wine is complex and elegant with flavors of wild plum, blackberry, cherry, and nuances of dark chocolate - a gem!
See you all tomorrow!
