This "Wine Friday" we continue to celebrate what summer is all about: sunshine, good times and WINE! I’ll be pouring four outstanding wines for you to toast and taste, while Kevin Koprowski fills the house with his awesome sounds.
I'll start with a lovely “Le Fils des Gras Moutons” from the Muscadet Sevre et Maine appellation in France. This easy-drinking white is dry and fresh, with tangy lemony citrus aromas, delicate creaminess and a minerally finish. A summer classic that you’ll want to have around for the rest of the season and beyond!
Next I’ll pour a superb Bodegas Juan Gil Rose from Spain’s Jumilla appellation This rose has notes of tart red plum, cherry and cranberry, a ripe creamy weight and an orange-peel savory finish. Made with Tempranillo and Syrah from selected vineyards, the Juan Gil offers a truly exceptional rose drinking experience.
My first red is a Melini Terrarossa Chianti from vineyards located in the heart of Tuscany’s Chianti Classico region. This outstanding red has a balanced structure that brings out intense flavors of berries and spices while offering a long, smooth finish. Very food friendly and a great value!
Last is Couturri Vineyard’s RED, a 100% natural blend from Sonoma County’s hamlet of Glen Ellen made by Tony Couturri, the “Guru” of natural wines in our country. This unmanipulated blend is made with Merlot, Syrah, Carignan and Zinfandel from several vintages. A very unique wine you don’t want to miss!!
See you tomorrow!
