This Friday I’ll be pouring a selection of four outstanding summer-friendly wines and you are invited to taste them.. The lineup includes a thirst-quenching dry rose, a new white Tuscan blend and two delicious South American reds. Soundscape pianist Kevin Koprowski will be playing live.
I’ll start with a dry, crisp 2016 Hecht & Bannier Rose from Province, France. This Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah blend displays notes of Clementine, pink grapefruit, raspberry and ripe currants. Sophisticated yet rustic in style, this rose is perfect to sip on a hot summer night with a friend…or a lover!
Next is our new Tuscan white blend Il Ghizzano Bianco. Made with the Vermentino, Trebbiano and Malvasia, grapes, this lovely white delivers a crisp, fruity drinking experience with notes of grapefruit, green apple, almond and lemon. Enjoy it with tomato based pasta, chicken, grilled fish or on its own. A summer favorite!
A MAX Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile’s iconic Aconcagua Valley is my first red.. This wine has concentrated flavors of plums, raspberries and blackberries, along with spice and toasted notes. Whether you are roasting, grilling, searing or sautéing the MAX is “the one”!
Our last is an “Aruma” malbec from Argentina’s famed Mendoza wine region. This magnificent red will dazzle your senses with its aromas of blackberry, violet, spice and a mineral earthiness. Lots of ripe fruit, complex and smooth- the ultimate Argentinean steak wine!
See you all on Friday!
