Our tasting lineup for this “Wine Friday” features four summer-perfect wines specially selected to set the stage for another fabulous July weekend in our beautiful city and you are invited to taste them all. Our new guest musician, the talented David Wycoco, will be playing live.
I'll roll out the lineup with a Brut Burckel Jung Cremant d'Alsace Rose made with 100% Pinot Noir. This refreshing French bubbly has aromas of red berries and flowers, a dry, crisp, elegant texture, and lots of thin bubbles. Pink perfection!
Next is a Reserve Mont-Redon Cotes du Rhone white blend of Roussane and Viognier. This medium white is fruity yet dry with flavors and aromas of honeysuckle and citrus. Great with grilled fish, chicken, seafood and goat cheeses.
My first red is a Bouchard Pere & Fils Burgundy (Pinot Noir), a smooth and supple classic French red with flavors of cherry, raspberry, currant and a medium tannic structure. This light wine pairs with chicken, turkey burgers, grilled chops and creamy cheeses.
Last is a delicious red blend from Priorat, Spain’s most prestigious wine region: Bluegray. This full red is full of ripe black fruit and cherry flavors, spicy notes, balanced tannins. Perfect with tapas, beef, paella and Latin cuisine. Highly recommended!
